Learning is limitless. Why do current corporate learning models insist on controlling people?

The traditional system for Learning & Development – linear and controlling – is inefficient. But what is the solution? It’s about time we substituted control for a culture that values the learner’s autonomy.

WHAT IS LEARNING CULTURE?

When an organization is a space for continuous development, stimulating autonomy and constant exchange between coworkers, it has a strong Learning Culture.

But what does it mean, exactly? Learning Culture is the way people behave regarding educational practices in a community, stemming from shared messages and stimuli. In an ever-changing world, where organizations (growingly) need their employees to perform roles for which they were not prepared, the only way to survive is to transform the relation between people and learning. We need to learn everywhere and all the time.
